Hot Summer Fibre Art

I am really quite thrilled to be in a whole slew of group exhibitions this summer.

Hillcrest Village Fibreworks presents: "Joined by Thread" at Galleria 814, 
814 St. Clair Ave. West, Toronto.
Opening reception is on June 16th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Painted with Colour Vie pigments, printed with real live leaves,
free motion machine quilted.


"Leaf Study" 
Printed with leaves, dyed, stitched panel, pieced and hand quilted








































"My Corner of the World" is a SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates)
Juried Group Exhibition of over 80 stunning art quilts at 
the Stratford Perth Museum & Archives In beautiful Stratford, Ontario
The exhibition continues until Sept. 5, 2016.

"Rocks on Lake Huron"
My original photos, fused and manipulated cotton.
For the border I made a rubbing of the rocks on cotton 

using Colour Vie pigments
Free motion machine quilted.

The Toronto Modern Quilt Guild has a booth in the Vendors' Hall 
at the Quilt Canada Conference at the International Centre
in Toronto June 15 to 18

Photo on cotton, painted (using Colour Vie of course),
printed with a bicycle wheel, fused, machine quilted

"Balancing Leaves"
Screen printed, painted, and printed with leaves,
fused and machine quilted

"Split Rock"
Photo on cotton, pigment rubbings of rocks,
pieced and free-motion machine quilted

My offering for the  communal display of 14" x 14" mini quilts
in the TMQG booth at the CQA conference.
Looking forward to seeing them all displayed together.
