RECYCLING BORO STYLE workshop

“Recycling BORO Style” Workshop with Pamela Woodward
July 8 and 9: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Colour Vie Studio
222 Symington Avenue, Toronto

Boro is the Japanese technique of patching and mending the utilitarian
textiles of everyday lives, resulting in beautiful compositions of hue and simple
hand stitching. Since recycling is a prominent concern in our minds today,
this class will incorporate attitudes and techniques of boro to refurbish
worn clothing and other textiles, and to work on quilt like assemblages.
Whether working individually or on a collective piece, participants are
welcome to submit their work to the festival exhibition at Propeller Gallery.

To reserve your space: e-mail colorvie@istar.ca
Upon registration a list of materials will be emailed to you.
Cost: $200

For additional information about the “Recycling Boro Style" workshop,
please e-mail

or Pamela Woodward at al.pam@sympatico.ca

This workshop, “Recycling Boro Style”, is an integral part of the Festival,
“In the Spirit of INDIGO”. The Festival is organized by Propeller Gallery
and offers workshops and lectures from May to September and two parallel
exhibitions to be held August 16 – September 3, 2017 at Propeller Gallery
and The Japanese Paper Place respectively
